Vryxster on Staying Youthful, Making Music, and Building a Life Rooted in Passion

From the East Coast to Hawaii, Vryxster’s journey has been anything but typical. Born in a small New Jersey town and raised between Virginia and the islands, he’s lived punk, emo, and independent artist lifestyles—all while building a unique sound that fuses emotional honesty with raw creative energy.

Vryxster's story is about more than just music. It's about surviving mental health battles, finding a sense of community, and learning how to stay young at heart no matter what life throws your way.

From Emo Punk Roots to DIY Recording

Vryxster’s creative path started during his high school years, writing rough punk rock lyrics with friends and absorbing influences from emo icons like AFI and My Chemical Romance. After an early reluctance to follow family footsteps into music, he found his own voice—starting during COVID lockdowns with nothing but an iPhone mic and a pair of underwear as a pop filter.

Through countless DIY recording sessions in Hawaii, he evolved from rough garage tracks to polished singles, showing what true passion and persistence can create over time.

Music as an Outlet for Mental Health

Diagnosed bipolar, Vryxster doesn’t shy away from talking about mental health. His music became a lifeline—a space where he could process emotions, confront past struggles, and offer listeners authentic reflections of survival and growth.

Whether recounting late-night calls to friends during breakdowns or navigating the aftermath of psychiatric hospitalizations, Vryxster’s vulnerability has become a strength—anchoring his music in a realness that’s rare and deeply needed.

Finding Balance Through Creativity

A recurring theme throughout Vryxster’s story is balance. From his songwriting process—crafting lyrics line-by-line with emotional intention—to his daily focus on personal growth, he emphasizes living in the moment without getting trapped by fear or overthinking.

Whether it’s surfing Hawaii’s waves, laughing with friends, or working on new tracks, Vryxster embraces the philosophy that staying youthful means staying present—and staying open to both struggle and joy.

Building Community and Giving Back

Beyond the music, Vryxster is committed to lifting up others. Whether it's supporting Hawaii's underground music scene, collaborating with new artists, or simply being a positive presence in his circles, he sees community-building as essential to success.

Rather than chasing clout, he focuses on helping everyone around him grow—believing that real fulfillment comes from collective wins, not just personal accolades.

Future Goals: Music, Growth, and Living Authentically

Looking forward, Vryxster dreams of expanding his music career while staying grounded in the things that matter most—passion, authenticity, and meaningful human connection. Whether performing onstage, dropping new singles, or just living each day with intention, he wants every move to be fueled by love for the craft and the people who believe in it.

His story is a reminder that staying young isn’t about age—it’s about laughter, passion, and the courage to stay true to yourself through every twist and turn.
